National Gallery Singapore: Unveiling Asian Artists' Influence on Modern Art "City of Others" Exhibition









The National Gallery Singapore is set to present a landmark exhibition that redefines our understanding of modern art. “City of Others: Asian Artists in Paris, 1920s-1940s,” shines a spotlight on the pivotal role Asian artists played in shaping the art scene in Paris during a transformative period. This groundbreaking exhibition challenges traditional art history narratives by placing these artists at the center, highlighting their experiences, interactions, and profound influence.

From April 2 to August 17, 2025, visitors to the National Gallery Singapore will have the unique opportunity to explore over 200 artworks and 200 archival materials. “City of Others” promises a rich and insightful journey into the lives and creative contributions of Asian artists in Paris.
