Have you heard of Chatterbox, a local restaurant in Singapore that’s been around for decades? Well, they’ve just unveiled a new menu of delicious dishes that are sure to tantalize your taste buds! Chatterbox is famous for its iconic Mandarin Chicken Rice, and now they’ve added even more items to their menu that are familiar yet restyled for the current generation. Each dish is prepared by Executive Chef Liew Tien Heong, who’s a master of local fare prepared with an honest-to-goodness approach and elevated with quality ingredients.
The new menu features a range of dishes that are restyled for the current generation, including the Grilled Pork Rib with Fruit Sauce and Fried Mantou, a whole rib of pork glazed in a piquant fruit sauce that marries sweet and savoury and grilled till tender and flavoured to the bone.
A seafood alternative is the Chilli Prawns with Fried Mantou that wok
fries large local prawns with a sweet and sour thick chilli sauce laced with chilli for extra
punch.
Singapore’s rich hawker culture gets a representative with the BBQ Sambal Squid
of local squid grilled with a dressing of hot and spicy housemade sambal chilli paste. A
squeeze of calamansi lime adds a tangy perk that will make it hard to stop.
Clam–lovers will relish in theWok–fried Sambal Lala Clams of sweet fresh clams
lent a fusion of flavours with sambal chilli paste and wok–fried to smoky perfection.
More squid is served with the Wok–fried Squid with Salt and Pepper of squid rings
simply tossed in a wok with lashings of salt and pepper until they are golden brown for an
extra hearty crunch.
Fish comes in easy–to–eat filets with the Stir–fried Golden Fragrant Garoupa Filet,
deboned and cooked with the simple additions of salt and pepper to play up the natural
sweetness of the garoupa.
Enjoy prawns in an exquisite way with the White Pepper King Prawns in Hotplate that dresses succulent King Prawns with aromatic whole white peppercorns for
a unique, bold punch, further fragranced with shallots and fresh basil leaves, served
sizzling on a hot plate.
