New Menu: FiftyFive Coffee Bar - Neil Rd

After a successful opening and soft-launch earlier this year, FiftyFive Coffee Bar is excited to showcase a full-fledged cocktail menu boasting seven flavour-forward and expertly-crafted tipples coupled with a new seafood-centric menu specially curated to recreate the experience of exploring the great seas.

Keeping in line with the theme, a painting by the late great Liu Kang’s painting titled ‘Boats’ will be on display in the loft until 5 June 2023, amid projection mappings of seascape complemented by props embodying oceanic elements such as cascading fishnets, sandboxes and driftwood among others.

The Story Behind the Concept

The brainchild of Nick Liu, the great-grandson of Liu Kang (1911-2004) – a renowned pioneer oil painter who was instrumental in establishing a local style in Singapore’s visual arts, FiftyFive Coffee Bar was founded on the premise of bringing coffee, cocktails and creative collaborations into a singular space.

As its name suggests, the concept is represented by two ‘5s’ (halves), signifying a dichotomy yet synergy between day and night as well as past and present, to form a distinctive experience for patrons. To tie it all together, FiftyFive Coffee Bar is nestled along a row of shophouses at 55A Neil Road.

As part of its Chef Artist-In-Residence programme, the coffee bar has collaborated with Ooomahmee to introduce four Japanese-inspired bowls that will be available for a limited-time only.

Try it out while it last. #SingaporeInsiders
