Putien Eel Festival Returns with New Flavours

Putien‘s Eel Festival 2025 is back, making waves from 1 August to 31 October.

This seasonal event celebrates live, export-grade eels from Shunde, the “Hometown of Eel”. Prized for their tender meat with highest fat content and natural sweetness, the live eels will be prepared in six distinct cooking styles at all Putien outlets.

This year features two exciting new flavours:

  • Grilled Eel with Spicy Black Garlic: Grilled to smoky perfection and coated in a rich, aged spicy black garlic sauce for a bold finish.
  • Golden Crispy-skinned Eel Tail: A crispy, addictive bite that is firm yet succulent.
  • Returning favourites include the aromatic Steamed Eel in Garlic and Soy Bean Sauce and the sweet and tangy Eel in Fujian Fermented Red Rice Wine, among others.
